Sebastian Evans

Hello! I am Sebby, a Philosophy graduate student in the Classics, Philosophy and Ancient Science program here at the University of Pittsburgh. I joined the program in the Fall of 2023, and my research focuses on Stoic ethics. I am especially drawn to later Stoicism and the notion of a role/persona/prosōpon as it features in the works of philosophers like Epictetus. I have also worked throughout my graduate career on philosophical projects that grapple with dreams and the experiences we have within them.

Outside of my graduate school work, I enjoy indoor rock climbing, creative writing, spending time in nature, and watching horror movies.
